2D1N in Ipoh

Last Friday, 3rd of February was my birthday. I rarely discuss about my birthday maybe because I'm introvert person (maybe, lulz).I just enjoy my birthday with family and close friends. So, few weeks before my birthday Sara asked about which state in Malaysia would I like to go. I wanted to go to Ipoh, Perak or Melaka. I did went to Melaka and Ipoh but not in terms of travel, more like a visits.
So, I made a decision to go to Ipoh, Perak. Yes. Food heaven, I know (hihi). Before going anywhere, it's my habit to google and doing a research about place that I'll travel. There's A LOT, Yup, A LOT of interesting places in Ipoh.
Image result for Ipoh
Not my photo. Took it from google. Thank you.
We departed from Gombak a bit late since Sara need to stop by at Hospital Selayang. I really hope Rafael get well soon. So, we start our journey at 11.30am, 4th of February from Hospital Selayang using Latar Highway. Oh yes, I'll include any related expanses so that, anyone can roughly prepared cash for your trip to Ipoh.
Alright, so we first entering Latar Highway from Hospital Selayang. You'll exit from Latar Highway and entering Plus Highway to Ipoh. You need to pay RM2.50 for toll fees. Our first destination is Tasik Chermin, Gunung Rapat. We decided to go to Tasik Cermin because it's nearer from KL. Exit tol Gopeng and the fees is RM22.20 (yes, you can eat lot of dim sum with this amount of money. hurmmm...)
The road to the Tasik Cermin is not proper and let me tell you the important of Tasik Cermin. Tasik Cermin located inside of PRIVATE LAND. Basically, you are forbidden to enter this area. Yup. It's prohibited outsiders to entering this Tasik Cermin. Tasik Cermin maybe part of the private land. We got lucky for first and last time to enter Tasik Cermin. So, for those who wanted to see Tasik Cermin, here I attach few picture of Tasik Cermin Scenary . (*Jangan cakap akak tak payung, okay ;p*)
The quarry in process

Nice view :)

This is a tunnel to Tasik Cermin.
Yes you don’t have any other choice to go to Tasik Cermin and need to cross this tunnel.
You can run if you scared. LULS

Due to sudden windy weather only inside of Tasik Cermin, unfortunately few pictures captured without proper reflection.

I was lucky to snap thic pic before the wind came
Panorama View for all

Few minutes later, there's a guy asking us to leave this property and goodbye Tasik Cermin. Hope at least you can enjoy the scenary.

So next, we continue the journey to Bandaraya Ipoh. We first decide to go to Taman Jepun (Japanese Park) but guess what, it's closed. Not closed because of occasion, but they closed it forever. Such a sad news. I really miss Japan so much (*wait for my Japan entry). So Sara decide to go to Nasi Ganja Yong Suan and again closed as the operation time is till 5pm. So we proceed to Nasi Vanggey. Because it's already 4.30pm, so u can't aspect much food left. So I ate Nasi Vanggey  with chicken and kuah campoq (mixed gravy). No veggies left. I'm sad but Alhamdulillah fulled.

Nasi Vanggey ayam with Bergedil (fried mashed potatoes) with 3 mixed of gravy

UPDATE : There's Nasi Vanggey at Taman Prima Gombak as I heard they already operate. Since I'm moving to Cheras, I didn't get a chance to try out Nasi Vanggey at Prima Gombak outlet.

We then heading straight to Container Hotel. We stayed one night at Container Hotel. There's three type of room available which is Mixed Pot for single pod and there's two type of twin pod which are Pod Plus and Female Pod Plus. Sara booked for Female Pod Plus since we are muslim. I didn't realize that we can request earplug. I should have request it because still certain of people doesn't seems to understand the ethics when you sharing rooms. You don't need money to respect people. Harming people is not good at all, so, PLEASE ASK FOR EARPLUG if you decide to stay at any sharing room style (Hostel Style) so that you can enjoy your exhausted night without any annoying noise. You can check Container Hotel for more info.

This place is full of art. I'm loving it.
This is our room. The bed is soooooo comfy. I wish I can bring it home (ok, yang ni over)

After checked-in hotel, we decided to take a walk and explore around Container Hotel. As I can review, Container Hotel is very strategic where it's near Mosque (for muslim), and yes, Container Hotel doesn't have any prayer room but there's still empty space there. I didn't pray at hotel as we always outside and I pray at the nearer Mosque but I did pray in front of the lift for Farj Prayer. There's plenty of space. Before going to this trip, I did read a review and they said there's no prayer room. So I decide to bring my own Sejadah and raincoat (*this is not heave) to cover my Sejadah.
Okay back to the walk around Container hotel, not only Mosque nearer, but there's also Cafe's around Container Hotel. Sekeping Kong Heng is behind or more like sharing building with Container Hotel, Yasmin Ahmad Museum a.k.a Yasmin at Kong Heng, Concubine Lane and more. Let me show you the pictures;
Nice store. You won't believe it, this is the outside design but when you enter the store, you'll be amazed

That's Sekeping Kong Heng. Right behind Container Hotel

The mural art. I didn't find all which is seven in total. I only found two. Seriously forgot about other five.

The Concubine Lane was closed that time plus raining. So we decide to sweep the sweat at the nearer cafe. I don't really remember the name of that Cafe, but the price is quite expansive. Sara ordered Lava Cake and guess what; YUP, the cake is actually  for me. CheeseCake tau Sara. HAHAHA! Thank you so much for the cake <3

I ordered Honey Lemon (RM11) and Iced Caramel Latte (RM15) for Sara.

We then heading back to Container Hotel because already Maghrib Prayer time. We decide to wait at the lobby and busying ourselves with internet. After Isyak, we decide to go for a drive and search for foods. Unfortunately, there's no single shop open and not in service.  We then go strolling around at Kinta Riverfront Ipoh. That place is suitable for family. You can go cycling and for a walk.

We heading back to Container Hotel nearly 12am. On our way home, guess what Sara found Chokodok Reggae House Cafe, still open and wanted to eat Japanese Gyoza. So we had Japanese Gyoza at 12am. Ommooo. They did play raggae song btw.

We continue the journey to Yasmin Ahmad Museum. You need to pay RM3  and there's a lot about Yasmin Ahmad. Every last bit they have from her is there. Interesting. There'll launch Tale In Time at Japan. Japanese loves Yasmin Ahmad. They even translate Tale In Time into Japanese.

A lot of stamp design. I like Japan so I took the Japan stamp style

We wanted to go to Kellie's Castle before 6pm, so with start the journey to Kellie's Castle and then back to KL. Before that, we went to buy Tau Foo Fah at Funny Mountain Tau Foo Fah. Delicious and not too sweet. Recommended.

Sara took this as I busy tapau-ing Tau Fu Fah
So I've been to Kellie's Castle. Weehoo. Last time, when our family went for Durian at Kampung Gajah, we suppose to visit Kellie's Castle. But due to time constrain, we decided to go back KL and it's quite late actually. I can tell you, Durian is more important. HAHAHAH! So, enjoy the view;

Look at it.......... :)

This is a must shot. I would say this castle is beautiful.

Last but not least, Me and Sara. I really owed Sara much.
I hope I can do such as fun trip again for Sara's birthday. Heeee.. ^^
